US GreenFiber joins, praises CIMA
US GreenFiber, manufacturer of GreenFiber natural fiber blow-in insulation, has joined the Cellulose Insulation Manufacturers Association (CIMA).
The Charlotte, N.C.-based insulation company pointed specifically to the association's "Greenest of the Green" campaign as an example of its strong education efforts.
“We look forward to participating with CIMA to work on issues of common concern to the cellulose industry,” said Harold Pinkston, director of marketing for GreenFiber.
“Greenest of the Green” campaign informs consumers, architects, builders and contractors about cellulose insulation. The effort was designed to demonstrate the environmental properties of cellulose insulation. Highlights included facts that cellulose has the largest amount of recycled content in the industry, earns LEED and U.S. Green Building credits for green construction, prevents the release of “greenhouse” gases (methane) and can be locally produced.
The CIMA is the trade association for the cellulose segment of the thermal/acoustical insulation industry.
