Two Wisconsin Ace stores to be sold or closed

Ace of La Crosse Hardware store in La Crosse, Wis., will either be sold or closed by the end of March, according to an article in the La Crosse Tribune. The store has 54 employees.

The store is owned by La Crosse-based Reinhart Retail Group, which filed a notice with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that it will either sell or close this as well as eight other Wisconsin-based stores and offices. A second Ace store in Ladysmith, Wis., as well as Rainbow Home Center in Rice Lake, Wis., are also among the stores to be sold or closed.

If Ace of La Crosse Hardware is sold, that is expected to occur between Feb. 14 and 27, and if it is closed, that is expected to occur between March 16 and 29, according to the notice.
