Troy-Bilt launches a new line of cordless OPE
Troy-Bilt has released a new line of cordless outdoor power equipment, available at Lowe's.
Troy-Bilt powered by CORE gives gas-powered equipment a run for its money and includes a string trimmer, leaf blower and hedge trimmer, with a push walk-behind lawn mower coming soon.
The patented CORE motor design works together with a responsive, load-sensing controller to deliver more torque, delivering more efficient, concentrated power when and where it's needed.
"Real power comes from the motor – the heart of the tool – not the battery or the voltage as many may think," said CORE co-inventor Lincoln Jore. "The battery simply supplies the energy, but the motor converts that energy into torque, which is what's needed to power through yardwork without slowing down."
Aside from more power and longer runtime, the collection also features a motor that's smaller and lighter than copper-wound motors for easy maneuvering. Its high efficiency also leads to less heat, and less wear and tear over time.
This is possible due to the proprietary CORE controller, which communicates with the motor to monitor how hard it's working and automatically responds when more or less power is required.
"Troy-Bilt has been manufacturing gas-powered outdoor power equipment for more than 75 years, so we know the types of challenges homeowners face in their yards," said Troy-Bilt brand manager Megan Peth. "With this revolutionary cordless system, we're excited to offer the power and performance consumers expect from Troy-Bilt, but now without the gas."
