Trex lends material support to soldiers

2/20/2018

Trex is lending a hand to Global Training Ministries' warrior transition home in Indianapolis, which will receive a donation of its high-performance decking products as part of its ongoing renovation.

The facility is currently being updated and expanded to accommodate more residents and more amenities, such as an outdoor deck where soldiers can enjoy "sky time" and hold meetings and socialize.

"We are absolutely thrilled to have the support of Trex," said Jim Peters, director of Global Training Ministries. "The new deck space will be enjoyed by every one of our residents and will provide them with a beautiful setting where they can relax, refocus and recharge. 'Sky time' is a critical component of our program that helps return these men to a safe place -- mentally, physically and spiritually."

The new deck will be built with Trex Transcend decking in Rope Swing, which features a durable material built to withstand high-traffic applications and resist fading, staining and scratching.

"We are truly honored to be part of such a noble project and to provide an outdoor oasis for those brave American heroes returning from active duty," said Ronald W. Kaplan, chairman, president and CEO of Trex Company. "It's a privilege to be able to give something back to those who have given so much to our country."
