Tractor Supply unveils first Nevada store

2/20/2018

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Tractor Supply Co. opened its first Nevada store as it continues its expansion strategy into the Western region of the country.

The new store is in Carson City on East William Street. After a soft opening earlier this month, grand opening celebrations commence Sep. 28.

"We believe that Tractor Supply will be a great one-stop shop for those in Carson City and surrounding communities looking for a broad assortment of quality products to care for their home, land, pets and animals," said Lee Downing, senior VP operations. "Our Carson City store team members are well-prepared to provide our customers with seasoned advice regarding both products and projects."

Nevada marks the company's 47th state of operation and reflects a westward expansion, according to CEO Greg Sandfort. "After successfully entering Colorado in 2012 and Arizona earlier this year, we will continue to develop our store base in this region, as we are committed to being the most dependable supplier of basic maintenance products to farm, ranch and rural customers," Sandfort said.

Tractor Supply plans to open 100 to 105 stores in 2013, and grow its square footage approximately 8% annually toward its domestic opportunity of 2,100 stores, the company said.

The company currently operates more than 1,223 stores, now in 47 states
