Tractor Supply brings on a new SVP
Tractor Supply Company has hired Colin Yankee to fill the role of senior VP, distribution and logistics.
Yankee will be in charge of the company's transportation and distribution operations, with oversight of distribution center growth strategy and supply chain operational efficiencies.
"With supply chain management becoming more critical as we continue to grow our business, we are excited to welcome Colin to the Tractor Supply team," said president and CEO Greg Sandfort. "Colin's extensive management experience in both transportation and distribution within the retail industry will play a valuable role as we continue to increase our store count and develop alternative fulfillment strategies to support our customers' rural lifestyle needs across the country."
Yankee was most recently serving as VP logistics for Neiman Marcus. Prior to that, he was senior director, distribution and transportation for Target Corporation. He was also Cavalry Officer, Captain in the United States Army.
Yankee will report directly to Steve Barbarick, executive VP and chief merchandising officer, whose responsibilities now include Distribution and Logistics, in addition to Merchandising, Marketing, Inventory Management and Omni-Channel.
