Top-level promotions at Hitachi

Hitachi Power Tools has promoted Joe Leffler to the position of senior vice president of sales, marketing and general management and has promoted Kristopher Miles to vice president of operations. Both top-level management moves were effective Oct. 1, the Braselton, Ga.-based power tool manufacturer said in a press release.

Leffler previously served as vice president of sales and marketing and joined the company in 1994. In his new position Leffler will also oversee Hitachi’s Canadian division and sit on the board of directors of Hitachi Koki USA.

Miles joined the company in 2016 and previously served as director of logistics and purchasing.

Hitachi Power Tools supports more than 4,000 retail locations carrying Hitachi tools and over 1,000 authorized service centers, according to the company. Hitachi Koki USA, Ltd. is the North American division of Hitachi Koki Japan.
