A tool for siding estimators
With a new app for iPads, LP says it can help contractors reduce a 1.5-hour siding estimate process to 20 to 30 minutes.
“Contractors can capture measurements via a Go Figure app by simply taking a picture of a house with Spike and an iPad and tracing the house’s areas for measurement on the touchscreen,” said Michelle Forchetti, segment manager, repair and remodeling, LP SmartSide Trim & Siding.
“Go Figure then measures the areas, adds the quantities and creates a worksheet that calculates costs. By taking faster measurements, contractors can turn around bids quicker, pursue more jobs and increase their close rate,” Forchetti said. Contractors can take angled photos of homes and still get accurate measurements for point-and-shoot estimates.
Remodelers in the LP BuildSmart Preferred Contractor Program who qualify can get the service free.
"Spike and Go Figure work together to completely change how contractors take measurements," said Greg Farnell, managing partner of Go Figure. “When using Go Figure with the ikeGPS Spike laser rangefinder device, contractors must have Go Figure and the Spike apps installed on their iPad. Both can be downloaded from the App Store. Then a contractor can access the camera inside Go Figure and the data transfers automatically.”
Simple and accurate, tThe LP SmartSide product catalog is on the Go Figure app, so contractors can plug in LP siding products, set their own pricing and adjust pricing on site. The app can be used for any exterior surface, such as roofs, windows, gables and more.
Go Figure lets contractors generate accurate stock lists and estimates -- within 2% on siding calculations. Contractors can track projects from start to completion, all from within one easy-to-use app.
