Thieves caught after stuffing vanity with tools
Two shoplifting suspects at a Salem, N.H. Home Depot have been accused of stealing a vanity full of tools and other merchandise on Sept. 5, according to an article in the Eagle-Tribune.
According to police, the two suspects choose a vanity off the shelf and then walked around the store filling it with $2,000 worth of tools and other merchandise. The pair then went to a self-checkout register, scanned a few of the items, and left the store.
Police stopped the suspects’ car as it was leaving the parking lot shortly before 5:30 p.m. Two other individuals were in the vehicle, and all four were arrested and charged with at least one felony charge, including theft by deception and possession of false identification; willful concealment and false report to law enforcement; and criminal liability for conduct of another.
