Sutherlands finds a home in Springfield

Kansas City, Mo.-based Sutherlands will open a store in Springfield, Mo., this spring.

According to the company’s Facebook page, the new store will open late spring at 1464 S. Glenstone Ave.

Sutherlands, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017, currently operates 48 stores in 14 states.

According to local media reports, the new store will measure about 17,000 sq. ft. and take the place of a Hancock Fabrics location in a strip mall. Sutherlands had operated a store in Springfield, but closed it in early 2016. Since then, a temporary Sutherlands store also opened and closed in Springfield.
