More recently, The NPD Group found the following consumer sentiment when it comes to grilling in the age of the virus:
- 75% of consumers who regularly cook outdoors said they would likely cook outdoors more frequently during the crisis.
- Among consumers who already cook outdoors two or more times per week, 81% say they’ll do it more frequently.
- 48% of consumers who have seen reduced family income are still likely took outdoors more frequently than they were before.
