The latest update from Principia Consulting shows Texas riding highest with more than $6 billion in projected building product demand.
The research company's COVID-19 Impact report also places Texas on the lower end of the spectrum measuring cases-per-capita of confirmed COVID-19 cases -- 2.02 cases per 1,000.
Principia's ongoing COVID-19 coverage monitors the impact on residential construction and building product demand.Looking at the country as a whole, estimated total demand for building products in 2020 stats at $56.2 billion. More than half the states fall under the $1 billion mark.
The research firm's state-level analysis compares demand data with confirmed case data and highlights differences in potential virus impact by product category and between new construction versus repair & remodel.
Following Texas in demand are California, Florida, Georgia and North Carolina.
