"We're honored to help ToolBank USA with their expansion efforts," said Tim Perra, VP communications for Stanley Black & Decker. "Communities are realizing the impact they can make by partnering with ToolBank and we're proud to provide the tools they need to do so."
The company will be supporting nine different ToolBank locations across the country, as well as the Disaster Services truck, over the next two years. This comes in response to a nearly 50% increase in demand for tools since 2014.
Most recently, Stanley Black & Decker donated to four new ToolBanks in Phoenix, Portland, Richmond and the ToolBank Disaster Services mobile unit, delivering an average of $30,000 worth of tools this past August.
The remaining locations will receive similar donations by August of 2016 - Cincinnati, Chicago, Houston, Atlanta, Baltimore and Charlotte.
Stanley Black & Decker has sponsored the ToolBank movement since 2007 with more than $2 million over the last eight years.
