SRS expands tech portfolio aimed at pros
SRS Distribution Inc. has reached agreement with several contractor applications to enable real-time pricing and electronic order transmission for its professional contractor customers.
Among the roster of application programming interface solutions the McKinney, Texas-based roofing and building materials distributor is partnering with is JobProgress, iRoofing, JobNimbus, EagleView, Core Logic, One Click Contractor, and CutterCroix.
“Innovation is key to the SRS culture and growth plans, and by enabling APIs that communicate directly with our industry leading distribution platform, we take our first step towards digitizing the contractor experience,” commented Sonya Wells, senior vp of information services for SRS.
According to SRS, the integration will initially focus on providing pros with the ability to submit orders directly from each respective application, but will soon expand to other capabilities, such as real-time delivery tracking, scheduling, hotshot pickups and product availability.
“We recognize the unique value that each of our partners bring to our customer base, and by enabling these digital capabilities, we enrich and complete the end-to-end solution that each contractor application provides. We envision the contractor will estimate, price, order, and soon, track deliveries on the application of their choice.” said Patrick Garcia, vp of innovation and technology adoption at SRS.
Garcia noted that co-development with the apps will simultaneously commence in June 2018 with a target release date to be determined by each tech participant.
“We have learned a lot through our existing partnership with EagleView Technology’s EagleView Construct software and we are excited to expand on that capability as we seek to make our entire family of companies easier to do business with,” Wells said.
SRS operates more than 220 locations in 42 states and is a portfolio company of Leonard Green & Partners, L.P. (LGP) and Berkshire Partners LLC. Last month, LGP acquired a majority share of SRS.
