Something for pros at Depot's Black Friday event

Home Depot's 11-day savings event known as Spring Black Friday is back with a twist this year -- organizers have taken steps to include the pro customers. 

This year's Spring Black Friday event, which kicked off April 3 and marks the beginning of the home improvement industry's busiest season, will have sales on  grills, lawn supplies and gardening products as usual. But it will also include power tools, nailers/compressors, concrete, ladders and landscape timber.

"Typically focused on homeowners and renters, this year’s 11-day savings event is expanded for construction pros," said a Home Depot spokesman. 

The retailer promoted the Black Friday event through an email blast to its Pro Xtra loyalty program members.
