Concrete products manufacturer Smith-Midland Corporation has brought AJ Krick on board as its newest accounting manager.

Krick has a decade-long career as a licensed CPA and controller with a proven track record of improving financial reporting, processes and internal controls for various organizations.

In his new role, he will steer Smith-Midland toward its lean manufacturing ideals from a fiscal standpoint.

"We are glad that AJ, who grew up in Fauquier County, chose to join Smith-Midland," says Smith-Midland president Ashley Smith. "We expect him to be an integral part of our future success. His strong work ethic, knowledge set and passion for accuracy make him an ideal match for our team."

Previously, Krick was working as a manager for Marshall Consulting Group, where he was responsible for monthly financial statements, budgeting, tax returns and forecasting.

He also held roles as senior accountant for Updegrove, Combs & McDaniel, PLC.

"Mr. Krick has worked with a multitude of different organizations across industries, which has provided him with a deep knowledge-set of how various business segmentations work most effectively," says Smith-Midland CFO William Kenter. "Moreover, Mr. Krick understands that mapping strategic business goals to every-day business practices are paramount to success. We are thrilled to have him join our team."
