Skilsaw brings out a Southpaw
Skilsaw’s latest call to the product-development bullpen has produced a lefty – the Southpaw 7-1/4 in. Left Blade Sidewinder circular saw.
In a switch from a baseball analogy to boxing, the Southpaw enters the ring promising improved blade and cut-line visibility, compared to circular saws with the blade on the right.
The product isn’t designed for left-handed users, it’s designed for pros regardless of their strong-hand orientation. Here’s how the company describes the new circular saw: “Southpaw allows users to see it all. With its blade located on the left, you have improved blade and cut-line visibility for enhanced accuracy.”
The Southpaw is also equipped with a Dual-Field Motor, extended 56-degree bevel and an ergonomic soft grip handle, It is also designed with an all-magnesium construction which reduces weight, dissipates motor heat and alleviates user fatigue.
The product marks an expansion of the Sidewinder brand. Skilsaw is based in Naperville, Illinois.
