On shelves at Menards: Green Glue Noiseproofing
Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics said its Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound and Sealant is now available at Menards stores.
Previously, Green Glue products were obtainable only through the Green Glue website or a network of specialty acoustic distributors. Now the products are available for contractors, DIYers and home theater enthusiasts to purchase directly in the building materials section of 232 Menards stores in the Midwest, the company said.
“Our Green Glue Noiseproofing System is a popular choice for homeowners who are looking for the most advanced soundproofing technologies available,” said Cassandra Rhodes, inside sales and service representative, acoustics for Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics.
Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound is a viscoelastic product that significantly dampens noise transmission by converting sound vibration into small amounts of heat. When applied as a constrained layer between two sheets of drywall, plywood or other building substrate, Green Glue Noiseproofing Compound reduces noise transfer from one room to the next by as much as 90%, including low-frequency sounds that are normally resistant to soundproofing, the company said.
