Senator will address lumber dealers
Attendees of the upcoming NLBMDA Spring Meeting & Legislative Conference will hear a Capitol Hill update from someone with a front-row seat on federal policy — Senator Mike Braun, the Indiana Republican. Described as a conservative who is proud to work with the White House to create jobs, Braun serves on several committees, including Environment & Public Works.
The senator is also described as an accomplished businessperson. After earning his MBA from Harvard Business School, he founded Meyer Distributing and co-founded Crystal Farms, Inc. both located in his hometown of Jasper, Indiana. Senator Braun has expertise in the manufacturing sector and distribution markets. Today, Meyer Distributing is a nationwide contender in the third-party logistics business.

This year, the Spring Meeting & Legislative Conference will be hosted at the modern Westin City Center Hotel in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C., March 23-25.
This conference includes many opportunities to learn about key issues affecting the lumber and building material industry from Washington policy experts and political commentators. The event will culminate with a day of in-person meetings with elected officials in Congress on Capitol Hill. From main stage keynote presentations to policy discussions and networking sessions.
"In addition to advancing our common interests, this growing conference is an opportunity to join forces and make our voices heard," said Bob Sanford, NLBMDA chair and president of Connecticut-based Sanford & Hawley. "The meeting is an incredible way to educate yourself on a variety of issues like legislative and regulatory advocacy, network with industry colleagues, participate in the lawmaking process, and shape policy that can make for a better future."
