Sears and Kmart to open their doors on Thanksgiving
Sears and Kmart stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day for customers and Shop Your Way members who wish to take advantage of Black Friday sales.
"Sears and Kmart have been leaders in integrated retail, delivering convenient options to create a more rewarding shopping experience for our members, while blurring the boundaries between offline and online shopping," said Leena Munjal, SVP customer experience and integrated retail, Sears Holdings. "Our Shop Your Way members have the option to shop anytime, anywhere and anyway they want – especially during the busiest shopping weekend of the year."
Beginning at 6 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day to 11 p.m. on Black Friday, shoppers can access deals at Kmart for 41 straight hours. Meanwhile, Sears will be open beginning on 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving through 10 p.m. on Black Friday.
Shop Your Way is also extending options to its members via free store pickup for friends and family and the Shop Your Way, Sears and Kmart mobile apps.
Following an overwhelmingly positive response from customers last year, this is the third year that Sears will be open on Thanksgiving Day. More than 1,000 doorbusters will be available at Sears until 1 p.m. on Friday.
Kmart has been serving early-bird shoppers on Thanksgiving for 22 years.
