Sanibel, Fla., hardware store re-opens
Bailey’s True Value Hardware in Sanibel, Fla., is holding a re-opening event Dec. 5 and 6 after undergoing an expansion and renovation, the Island Reporter newspaper reported.
Bailey’s, which opened in 1982 after an expansion of Bailey’s General Store, underwent a 10-week renovation and now spans 8,000 square feet with a new layout, lighting and signage. In addition to core departments -- including tools, paint, plumbing supplies, gardening goods and housewares -- the store will also feature a fishing department with live bait, a gift center and beach gear.
Bailey’s also includes some eco-friendly improvements like new “green” insulation and a refurbished floor that requires only water to be cleaned.
Grand re-opening events include free doughnuts and coffee in the morning and hot dogs and other refreshments in the afternoon. There will also be a raffle for free products and a special 20 percent discount on hardware items, the article said.
