Royal builds on inspiration from the sea
New 'Slatescape' colors available for composite and vinyl siding.
Royal Building Products has unveiled a new color scheme for its exterior building products.
Slatescape, based on the hue of a storm-churned wave, is the company’s fresh take on the prominence of gray in exterior color trends in recent years. The mid-tone, blue-gray is a versatile shade that works well with other soft neutrals, as it does with brighter, punchier colors, Royal Building Products said.
The Slatescape theme is now available in Royal Building Products’ portfolio of siding products, including Royal Vinyl Siding in a “Storm” color tone along with Celect Cellular Composite Siding and a “Coastline” finish.
“The Slatescape tone is a soothing combination of blue and gray that evokes feelings of calm and tranquility,” said Kristine Swint, director of interactive strategy and design at Royal Building Products. “We have seen homeowners gravitating toward deeper blues and grays inspired by nature in recent years, and Slatescape is a beautiful expression of that trend.”
Royal Building Products, based in Woodbridge, Ontario, Canada, is a subsidiary of Westlake Chemical.
In October, Royal announced that Midwest Lumber, the recenly-acquired division of U.S. Lumber, is serving as a distributor of Royal PVC trim and mouldings product lines.
