Roseburg announces executive promotions
Following recent strategic moves, including the sale and purchase of timberlands, Roseburg Forest Products has announced organizational changes.
Roseburg recently sold its California timberlands and purchased 158,000 acres in Virginia and North Carolina.
As a result, Phil Adams – the company’s former manager of land and timber - has been promoted to director of timberlands. In this role, Phil will provide overall leadership and direction to all Roseburg-owned and managed fee timberland assets, forest management, and real estate programs, the company said. He will also assume leadership of Roseburg’s strategic timberland acquisition and disposition program.
Gabe Crane, former manager of log acquisitions, marketing, and softwood resources, has been promoted to director of resource operations and sales. Crane now has overall responsibility and leadership of all Roseburg-owned and managed fee harvest operations and raw material sales and marketing. The company said he will work closely with Steve Courtney – Roseburg’s new director of solid wood resource procurement.
Also, Tony Powell – the company’s former manager of resource technical services – has been promoted to director of resource technical services. Powell will provide direction for all resource information systems, inventory programs, forest planning, and business analytics. This includes all analysis for asset management, operations and sales, capital investments, acquisitions, dispositions, and valuations.
"These promotions reflect not only each individual’s contribution to the company and expertise in the field, but also Roseburg’s continued dedication to developing our talented people and promoting from within,” Scott Folk, senior VP of resources said. “Roseburg Resources has the people, knowledge and momentum to drive continued growth and success for the company."
Based in Roseburg, Ore., Roseburg Forest Products is a privately-held manufacturer of lumber and building products. The company previously announced additional executive and management moves last month.
