RONA appoints senior vp
Boucherville, Quebec-based RONA, a leading Canadian retailer of building materials and home improvement items, has appointed Paul Jovian as its new senior vp-supply chain management. Jovian will report directly to Robert Dutton, RONA president and CEO, and will manage the company’s entire supply chain.
Jovian’s team is made up of logistics, demand planning and supply chain management.
This appointment stems from RONA’s 2008-2011 Strategic Plan, which aims at optimizing the network and supporting business growth.
“Our objective in creating a new vice presidency at RONA is to allow the optimization of our entire distribution network,” said Dutton. “While we are continuing the realization of our Strategic Plan’s objectives, this appointment, along with the reorganization relating to operations and marketing announced at the end of 2008 will ultimately allow us to remain industry leader in Canada.”
Previously, Jovian was vp-supply chain major projects at Canadian Tire, where he worked 25 years in a number of roles.
