Report: Sears narrows its search for possible move

Hoffman Estates, Ill.-based Sears Holdings Corp. is no longer considering Ohio for a possible headquarters move, according to a report from Crain's Chicago Business.

Citing sources close to the discussions, Crain's reported that Boston and Washington, D.C., are candidates for a relocation. But remaining in Hoffman Estates is also an option, especially if state and local governments grant incentives.

Sears moved its headquarters to Hoffman Estates from Chicago in the early 1990s.
