Report: Recovery mode in Ohio

The power is back at Barney’s True Value in Beavercreek, Ohio. And the recovery in the tornado damaged area has begun.

In an interview with WHIO TV 7, owner Dave Barney explained the store was unscathed but the community – including homes of employees – were badly damaged. The store is a serving as a recovery center.

“There is certainly demand out there,” he said. “Generators chain saws, tarps , batteries, water – anything you could imagine that could patch up a house or clear trees.”

Destructive tornados descended on Ohio and Indiana on Memorial Day, May 27, leading to at least one fatality and many hundreds of damaged buildings.
