REPORT: Menards enters Cleveland market

4/29/2019
Menards, the home improvement warehouse kingpin of the Midwest, is entering the Cleveland, Ohio market.

The retailer’s latest store is scheduled to open in Brooklyn, a suburb of Cleveland, on April 30.

This location is situated at a former Kmart site that has been shuttered for several years, according to a report by Cleveland.com. The 243,000-square-foot Menards location will carry an assortment of tools, lumber, building materials, appliances, pet and wildlife products, along with lawn and garden supplies.

Menards General Manager Julian Frazen told Cleveland.com that, “We sell soup to nuts – nuts and bolts,” Franzen said. “If you want it, we can get it. It’s the best home improvement center in the world. We have team members who know how to use the different products.

Based in Eau Claire, Wis., Menards operates about 318 locations.

Another opening in New Philadelphia, Ohio is also in the works.
