REPORT: Home Depot employees build special lemonade stand

8/31/2018
An 8-year-old boy in Central Florida headed to his local The Home Depot store to pick up materials.

The project that lie ahead for Christian Redmond was building a lemonade stand, according to report by CBS News. But not just any lemonade stand. Redmond wanted to use the stand to help raise money for his friend, Silas, who is battling cancer.

When Redmond and his mother, Dawn Redmond, arrived at Home Depot, they were met with a surprise. Employees at the store had not only gathered the materials, but they had already built the stand for Redmond.

The lemonade stand will be put to use on Sept. 1 at the Tractor Supply Company location in Apoka, Fla. A Go Fund Me page has also been established for Silas.

More about the lemonade stand and the Redmonds’ experience can be found at CBS News.
