Message to victorious politicians on the morning after the much-anticipated election: start working on fiscal responsibility.

A survey of HBSDealer readers reveals that the national debt and anti-business regulations are two top of mind issues facing the United States.

Readers were asked: Which would be your top message to all the winners of Tuesday’s election?

Here are how the votes were cast: 

30%: Reduce the national debt;

23%: Remove anti-business regulations;

20%: Lower taxes on citizens and businesses;

13% promote investment in the nation’s crumbling infrastructure;

13% Work to mend political fences.
