In recent industry headlines, US LBM Holdings and Kodiak Building Partners announced acquisitions. Also, Masonite announced an acquisition, and Generac closed on a deal.
A quick scan of the headlines in days prior reveals acquisitions involving Armstrong, SRS Distribution, T.H. Rogers Lumber Co. and AZEK Building Products – all of whom were on the acquiring end of a deal.
All these acquisitions led to last week's HBSDealer poll question: “To what extent are you concerned about consolidation in the hardware and building supply industry?”
