ProBuild promotes Myrick to chief operating officer

ProBuild Holdings has named Bill Myrick, president of the company’s Strategic Initiatives group, as its new chief operating officer. In this role, Myrick will oversee all areas of field operations, supply chain, manufacturing, market development and gypsum.

“I am confident that, with his in-depth industry experience and leadership skills, Bill is the right person to help ProBuild navigate through the current industry downturn and prepare us for the enormous opportunities that lie ahead,” said CEO Paul Hylbert in a prepared statement.

Myrick joined ProBuild in February 2007 as a senior vp-strategic initiatives. He started his career in the LBM industry as a manager trainee at 84 Lumber, where he spent 25 years, rising to the position of chief operating officer before leaving last year to join ProBuild.

Headquartered in Denver, ProBuild is the largest supplier of lumber and building materials in the United States, with more than 550 locations and $5 billion in sales in 2007.
