ProBuild opening in Sacramento

ProBuild Holdings, the nation’s largest pro dealer, has announced it will plant a flag in the Sacramento, Calif., market with a store expected to open by the end of February. The lumberyard will be on a leased nine-acre site formerly occupied by Dolan Building Materials, which closed in 2008. ProBuild has the option to buy the property and expand into manufacturing based on market demands, according to company spokeswoman Carolyn Atkinson.

“We already know the Sacramento market very well as we have been serving it from other locations for quite some time,” said ProBuild CEO Paul Hylbert. ProBuild’s other Northern California locations are concentrated around Santa Cruz and further south, in the Central Valley.

ProBuild currently operates more than 470 locations, serving 42 U.S. states.
