ProBuild hires Michael Mahre

ProBuild Holdings has announced the appointment of Michael Mahre as its new senior VP corporate development, where his job duties will include strategy, business development and acquisitions.

Mahre served as president and CEO of SelectBuild, the construction services division of Building Materials Holding Corp. (BMHC), until April 2008. That division was later folded into BMHC.

Since November 2008, Mahre has served as a consultant for Devonshire Investors, aprivate equity group affiliated with the parent company of Fidelity Investments, which provides funding for ProBuild Holdings.

Prior to BMHC and SelectBuild, Mahre was in the investment banking, private equity and real estate finance industries.

Agraduate of the US Naval Academy, Mahre spent seven years serving as a submarine officer and nuclear engineer. He also is a graduate of Stanford’s business school where he received an MBA.
