Porter Cable brings out the brushless power tools

Porter Cable is introducing its new 20V MAX Lithium Ion Brushless Drill/Driver and 20V MAX Lithium Ion Brushless Impact Driver.

Both hailing from the Brushless EDGE family of tools, the drivers are also extensions to the 20V MAX Get Linked System tools, a range of professional cordless core tools.

They are compatible with any Porter Cable 20V MAX Lithium Ion battery and feature brushless motor technology, offering 50% more runtime.

The drill/driver features 20% more power and improved bit retention compared to the prior model, as well as a two-speed gear transmission.

Meanwhile, the impact driver  features improved runtime and shorter tool length than its predecessor. The brushless motor and transmission generate 1,400 inch-pounds of maximum torque for large fasteners, and the variable speed trigger delivers 0-2,700 RPM.

Both tools come with an over-molded grip for comfort and an LED work light that stays on for 20 seconds at a time to help illuminate dark work areas.
