HBSDealer continues its industry-wide reader-participation S.W.O.T. analysis with "Strengths." Identifying strengths is usually the first step of a corporate S.W.O.T. analysis – a tool strategists use to identify Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats.
Every company is different and recent polls produced a wide distribution of votes in each of the four areas. The leading vote getters in each area were: "acquisitions" as opportunities; "employee training" as a weakness; and "Labor shortage" as a threat.
