Poll question: a presidential plumbing protestation
Presidents don’t often inject themselves into matters of home improvement, but it happens. In 2009, President Obama, using a Home Depot store as stage, promoted household insulation as “sexy.”
Last week, President Trump took on plumbing, suggesting that too many toilets require too many flushes. President Trump said during a small business roundtable: "People are flushing toilets 10 times, 15 times, as opposed to once. …They end up using more water. So EPA is looking at that very strongly at my suggestion.”
Trump also said that water pressure in many bathrooms is insufficient.
The implication was that America’s bathrooms have been somewhat over-regulated. What do you think? Our poll question is: Are American sinks, toilets and showers over-regulated?
