Plum Creek elects chairman of the board
Plum Creek has announced that its board of directors has elected John Morgan Sr. as chairman of the board.
Morgan is replacing Ian Davidson, who is retiring from the board. Davidson served on the company’s board since 1989 and as chairman since 2005.
Morgan has served as a director of Plum Creek since November 2006. He owns and manages Morgan Timber, a private timberland and real estate management and development company. Previously he held positions in general banking and public securities investment management with First Orlando Corp. (Sun Trust) and Citizens & Southern Corp. (Bank of America) and helped found INVESCO Capital Management.
“Plum Creek is honored to have had Ian’s dedicated service for the past 20 years,” said Rick Holley, president and CEO. “We’re looking forward to building on our past success under John’s capable guidance and leadership.”
