Owens Corning products to receive 'Green Approved' product seal
Owens Corning has announced that its fiberglass insulation, duct products, foam insulation and masonry veneer products have been approved under the National Association of Home Builders Research Center Green Approved Products seal of approval. This mark designates third-party documentation and approval by the NAHB Research Center that a building product contributes to compliance of specific green practices for National Green Building Certification.
According to a company release, Owens Corning is the first insulation and masonry veneer manufacturer to receive this approval.
The Green Approved mark was awarded to:

"This Green Approved seal streamlines and simplifies the process for builders, architects, designers and remodelers to use these Owens Corning products to earn points toward National Green Building certification."
Owens Corning batts, rolls and unbonded loosefill and duct wrap, duct liner and duct board contain at least 40% certified recycled material and Foamular and XPS insulation contain a minimum of 20% certified recycled content, as certified by Scientific Certification Systems.
