Owens Corning names director of building science
Toledo, Ohio-based Owens Corning has named Achilles Karagiozis as director of building science at the company’s Granville, Ohio-based Science and Technology Center.
He will report directly to Frank O'Brien-Bernini, chief sustainability officer.
"I am pleased to have Achilles join our sustainability team," O'Brien-Bernini said. "Achilles is one of the nation's most respected building scientists, and brings a level of experience and technical depth that is unmatched in the industry."
Previously, Karagiozis worked at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a research engineer and hygrothermal project manager. He is also the former owner of building science consulting firm Moisture Group Inc., which specialized in construction litigation and thermal and moisture control design solutions.
