Outdoor candles sold at Ace recalled

Hayes Co., importer of Avant Yarde decorative glaze outdoor candles sold at Ace Hardware stores, will recall 83,000 outdoor candles after reports of a high-flame hazard.

The candles were made in China and distributed by Hayes to Ace stores. The company has received two reports of consumers who received minor burns on their hands when they tried to put the candles out, according to the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

The recall includes three skus of outdoor citronella candles with a glazed lower portion that is brown, blue or green.
