Next Big Thing: Porch Perks
Customers have been leveraging loyalty for years. Now, contractors might be able to get in on the goods thanks to some moves Porch.com is making in the home services space.
Today, Porch launched Porch Perks, a loyalty program for Porch Guaranteed professionals that provides them with exclusive business and entertainment discounts.
Partnerships include the likes of Lowe's, Wayfair, Square, Weebly and more.
“Professionals are core partners in building Porch with us," said chief customer officer Matthew Neagle. "For the past two years, we’ve been working on increasing the amount of qualified service requests that come through Porch. With the quality and value of these requests at an all-time high, we want to reward our professionals by helping them grow their business in other ways. Access to discounts for home products, legal services, payment processing benefits, or food for their crew are just a few examples of how Porch will give time back to professionals so they can continue to focus on doing the work they love."
Through the partnership with Lowe's, Porch Guaranteed pros will gain access to exclusive offers and discounts on products and tools.
Meanwhile, Wayfair is extending the ability to add installation and assembly services to orders at checkout, while Square is offering its point-of-sale solutions. Through Weebly, Porch pros can power up their online presence.
Other partners include Capella University, which will offer continuing education to Porch pros; Intuit, which will offer its QuickBooks Self-Employed program; ATGStores.com (the Lowe's lighting and furniture offshoot); Avvo, which offers legal services; Taunton Publishing, which is offering an exclusive subscription discount to Fine Homebuilding Magazine; Hanley Wood, which is offering discounted subscriptions to JLC magazine and the JLC Field Guide reference platform; Wintac, provider of business management software; and Ruby Receptionists, which will be lending its live, virtual receptionist services.
Porch also announced a round of new features aimed at helping contractors grow their business, such as Enterprise Direct Connect, a platform that allows larger national and regional companies a way into the project marketplace, with requests flowing directly to their CRM systems.
The company also announced a round of new features aimed at creating more flexibility for local professionals, like "Pay As You Go," which offers a low-commitment option for those who are test-driving the platform or looking to fill occasional holes in a contractor's schedule. Additionally, professionals can now set criteria based on type of work and a monthly budget, which helps automate requests that meet the criteria.
“Professionals can now decide the best way to grow their business through the expansion of our pro product suite. With our new offerings, Porch caters to every home service professional across the country, big or small, by providing features that are tailored to their business. Over the past year, project request volume on Porch from homeowners has exploded so now is the right time to accelerate the connection with all types of quality professionals,” said chairman and CEO Matt Ehrlichman.
