Brentwood, Tennessee-based Tractor Supply Co. opened its 1,346th store -- the latest in Sealy, Texas.
The new Sealy store measures 15,000 sq. ft. and occupies a site formerly occupied by a grocery store.
The nation’s leading farm-and-ranch retailer sees the potential for 2,100 stores across the United States, according to its most recent quarterly earnings presentation. The southern region, extending from Texas to North Carolina, is the closest to achieving its potential in terms of store openings. It has 524 stores -- about 75% of the regional opportunity, as determined by the retailer.
The Sealy store employs 13 people and sells a variety of hardlines as well as clothing, boots, pet food, feed and farm implements.
