New Metabo HPT MultiVolt Slide Miter Saw
Lightweight, quiet, vibration-free saw can be used corded or cordless.
Metabo HPT (formerly Hitachi Power Tools) has introduced the new 7-1/4” Cordless/Corded MultiVolt Slide Miter Saw (bare tool) - model C3607DRAQ4, made in Japan and designed for the best in class carpenter.
At just 34 lbs., carpenters can conveniently use the saw in the shop with the MultiVolt AC Adapter or plug in the 36V battery and go cordless to the job site. It’s extremely quiet, to the tune of 10 dB levels lower than in-class competitors; due to the industry’s first Twin Belt Drive System (patented). The Twin Belt Drive System also significantly reduces vibration and allows for smoother cuts.
Additionally, the Four-Point ball contact on each sliding rail ensures cuts are accurate and supremely smooth for ultra-professional results.
Equipped with a zero-clearance rail system, meaning the sliding arm moves along fixed rails, enables the saw to sit nearly flush against a wall without compromising the range of movement. Precision is also enhanced by constant speed control, which modifies the cutting speed and torque during the cut for top performance.
The C3607DRAQ4 miter saw gives the precision carpenter all the options necessary for any project, including cross cutting up to a 2” x 12” with ease. Miter angles range from 0-57 degrees right to 0-45 degrees left, which can be quickly adjusted using the thumb actuated positive stops. The bevel ranges 0-45 degrees both to the right and left, for a broader range of cuts.
To save time and eliminate costly mistakes, Metabo HPT incorporated a micro bevel adjustment knob to dial-in to precise angles. Visibility is enhanced with tool-on twin LED lights that are adjustable and brightly illuminate a wide area without disturbing the cutting operation. A customizable rear laser allows the user to position the laser left or right of the blade and adjust the width of the laser line.
The C3607DRAQ4 is capable of 230 cross cuts of a 2”x10” piece of wood per MultiVolt 36V 4.0Ah battery charge. MultiVolt tools can accept a 36V MultiVolt battery or plug into an outlet with the award-winning AC Adapter. The adapter that can be used with long extension cords or a generator with little to no power loss. Users can go cordless when you don't have access to power and need to be able to move where the job takes you.
