New LG fridges bring the inside out
Four new fridges from LG Electronics aim to meet consumers halfway in their tendencies to open (and reopen) the fridge door in unconscious 10-minute intervals.
The fridges come with InstaView technology, which makes it possible to view the fridge's contents from the exterior thanks to a sleek glass panel that illuminates with two quick knocks.
Additionally, LG's Door-in-Door technology allows users to access often-used items without having to open the entire refrigerator. This is made possible with the ColdSaver Panel, a barrier between the interior compartment and the rest of the refrigerator, which reduces cold air loss and helps keep food fresh.
"We've been impressed with the consumer interest for years in the Door-In-Door feature pioneered by LG, and now we're taking this innovation to new heights with the introduction of InstaView, providing users with greater convenience than ever before," said David VanderWaal, VP marketing for LG Electronics USA. "Consumers can now make decisions at the refrigerator without having to open the door. With two simple knocks, contents of the refrigerator are illuminated and can be easily seen."
Other features include LG's black stainless steel finish, which is also fingerprint and smudge resistant.
