New Jersey Building Materials Dealers Association names new president
The New Jersey Building Materials Dealers Association (NJBMDA) has named Bryan Jaeger of Jaeger Lumber in Union, N.J., as its new president.
Jaeger, a resident of Basking Ridge, N.J., immediately called on New Jersey building materials dealers to follow developments in the housing industry as well as what legislators in Trenton and Washington are doing to help the construction industry.
In its 125th year of working to promote the lumber industry, the former New Jersey Lumber Dealers Association changed its name this year to strengthen its outreach to all construction supply dealers, including those who sell electrical, plumbing, roofing and other building materials.
“It is more important than ever that we have a strong organization to represent New Jersey’s building suppliers,” Jaeger said. “The NJBMDA is working to promote legislation that would spur the recovery of the housing market, and we’re also monitoring future green building legislation.”
Jaeger Lumber was founded in Union by Jaeger’s grandfather in 1937 and now has additional locations in Bernardsville, Belmar, Madison, Middlesex, Point Pleasant Beach, Stirling and Lakewood. Bryan Jaeger, a third generation owner of the company, is also a third generation president of the NJBMDA, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. He has worked full time in the business since 1993.
