New HGTV Smart Home coming up in Nashville

Construction is now under way on the new HGTV Smart Home 2014 in Nashville, Tenn., which will be outfitted with technology-enabled appliances and devices.

“This is our second HGTV Smart Home, and it will be one of the most charming, beautiful homes we’ve ever built,” said Jack Thomasson, HGTV professional house planner. “HGTV viewers will be pleasantly surprised at some of the design elements. This will be a space that really ‘pops.’”

The Tudor-style, three-bed and 3.5- bath residence will be located in Green Hills and will be up for giveaway starting in April of next year. HGTV viewers will be able to enter for a chance to win as well as track the home's progress at  HGTV.com/smarthome.

The home, designed by P. Shea Design and constructed by Carbine & Associates, is located 15 minutes from downtown Nashville and Music Row and is convenient to shopping and outdoor recreation venues.
