Nest has a new outdoor camera
New from Nest is the Nest Cam Outdoor, plus a couple new updates to its range of smart home products.

And because Nest is constantly improving its products, current Nest Cam Indoor and Dropcam customers will also benefit from these new features,” said Maxime Veron, director of hardware product marketing, Nest. “Nest Cam provides customers with peace of mind and the ability to stay connected to the things they care most about. Now, Nest Cam Outdoor brings thoughtful security outside of customers’ homes, helping them secure their property and giving them more ways to watch over their families, even when they’re miles away.”
Nest Cam Outdoor is made to withstand weather, but brings the security features of Nest outside. Customers can keep an eye on their homes 24/7 with full high-definition (1080p) video quality anytime, anywhere and in any weather. It comes with many of the same features as Nest Cam Indoor, such as activity alerts and Talk and Listen.
Additionally, subscribers to the Nest Aware service will now be able to receive person alerts. In other words, Nest Cam can tell when it's looking at a person, and it will let you know when someone comes into view. Nest Aware features including person alerts are available on all Nest Cam and Dropcam cameras.
Finally, a redesigned Nest app offers new software features, such as Spaces, a brand new user interface that groups Nest products by room, across multiple platforms, making it easier to access and control Nest products.
