More than lumber: 84 spotlights design services, millwork
84 Lumber wants customers to know that the pro dealer is much more than a lumber outlet.
When the company exhibited at the International Builders’ Show last month, 84 Lumber unveiled its largest event space to date while emphasizing millwork along with kitchen and bath customization services.
“IBS is the premier event for the housing industry, so it’s crucial for us to put our best foot forward there every year,” said Amy Smiley, vice president of marketing at 84 Lumber. “This year, we introduced a new, modern-day booth that gave attendees a detailed look at some of our core specialty services like custom millwork and kitchen and bath design. These offerings appeal to builders, contractors and vendors who come to shows like IBS to discover new trends and ideas.”
The Kitchen and Bath Design Studio, 84 Lumber’s showroom and design brand, is described by the dealer as a one-stop source for a full spectrum of kitchen and bath design services. 84 Lumber maintains nearly 30 Design Studio locations in 21 states
84 Lumber also brought a millwork display to IBS, designed and built by 84 Lumber’s custom millwork shop in Eighty Four, Pa., while incorporating various styles and elements that are popular with today’s builders and homeowners, including white shiplap, craftsman-style columns, decorative gable, and miniature barn doors.
The Eighty Four team produced a butcher-block countertop for a bar area, along with a floating vanity for a bath display, and a maple cabinet with a maple butcher-block top for a kitchen exhibit.
Overall, 84 Lumber operates more than 250 locations nationwide, in addition to component manufacturing, door shops, engineered wood products, and turnkey builder services.
