Moen supports affordable housing in San Antonio

As an extension of its eight-year effort to support affordable housing for Latino families and veterans, Moen Incorporated has teamed up with Neighborhood Housing Services of San Antonio (NHS-SA), a nonprofit providing housing opportunities in San Antonio.

The partnership will support Moen's existing program, Alcanzando Suenos con Moen ("Achieving Dreams with Moen"). Through the program, Moen donates kitchen and bath fixtures to organizations like NHS.

The agreement involves donations of Moen fixtures for the next two years in support of NHS-SA's remodel and reconstruction projects in the San Antonio area.

NHS-SA has built 300 new homes, rehabbed over 100 existing homes and processed more than 1,200 loans over the last 16 years.

NHS-SA builds its homes to Build Green San Antonio standards, and always works to improve water and energy efficiencies in every home it rehabilitates.

"Our mission is to build successful families and communities through housing opportunities," said NHS-SA executive director Oscar Medina. "In all of our home construction and rehabilitation, we install energy efficient features and fixtures to ensure our customers are paying the lowest utility bills possible. Our partnership with Moen is a perfect fit, since they are also committed to these ideals."
