Milwaukee plans cordless upgrade
Milwaukee Tool says it upgraded key M12 Cordless Drilling and Fastening products.
The company will introduce six new drilling and fastening models this year, four of which will begin a transition to replace existing models on the market today.
One example, the 2462 M12 1/4-in. Hex Impact Driver will feature a new Milwaukee optimized mechanism, which delivers 1,000 in-lbs of torque and increases driving speed by up to 50%, the company claims.
The new tools will also feature upgraded ergonomics with narrow, soft contoured grips for maximum comfort during prolonged use, and an all metal reversible belt clip to quickly and easily hang the tool.
Milwaukee will continue to feature all metal chucks on their 12V drill/drivers and hammer drill /drivers -- a major competitive advantage, the company said. The tools will also continue to feature Redlink Intelligence for increased protection in abusive situations. All tools will be backed by a five-year warranty.
The new tools are compatible with the entire M12 System, now offering more than 50 cordless Lithium-Ion products.
The M12 Cordless system was introduced in 2007.
